How to Write a Great Product Review Article.

Perhaps the question I get asked the most about writing articles is how do I write a successful product review?

If you’ve spent anytime writing articles you’ll have noticed some people write article solely on product reviews.

Why is that?

Well, if you know anything about keyword research you’ll know that anyone typing (product name + review) is usually the type of person that’s in a buying mode and ready to part with their cash.

By typing the word ‘review’ after the product name, can also mean that the potential buyer is seriously thinking about buying that product or service but they have some type of reservation that’s holding them back. And this is where your product review article comes in.

By reading your review article it can help clear up any details or problems they may have been stewing over, and by writing an honest review with great advice, they’ll thank you for it by buying through your affiliate link.

So what goes into a great review article?

Firstly, a really good product review like a great sales letter should be made up of an introduction giving possible pain this person is going through because they don’t have this product or service.

If you not sure about what problems the reader may have take a look at the product/services sales page for ideas and then use this as a foundation for your introduction (but don’t copy it word for word, put it in your words). Then give a small hint of the product you’re going to be writing about.

Now onto the meaty part of your article.

This part of your article goes onto explain more about the product, what it does, how its used and why its great for helping to resolve the problem the reader is having at the moment.

In this part of the article you’ll also want to put yourself in your reader’s shoes. What questions or reservations could they have about the product that’s stopping them from buying? If you do you homework well and cover all the bases you’ll be well on the way to making a sale.

For more ideas of what you can cover in this part of your article go back to the products sales letter and look at it with these thoughts in your mind.

Is there anything that the writer left out and didn’t talk about that could be holding potential buyers back?

Did they really describe this product to it full potential and have they left any important things out?

Now onto the final part of your article.

This is the part of your article where you want to do a quick summing up to remind the reader of their pain, what the product is, and what it can do, and the value it can add to their life/business.

Now this is also the part where you give your honest opinion of the product and what you’ve gained from using it.

There are too many marketers out there just recommending everything for a quick sale (your inbox is probably full of this junk every day) and not giving products an honest try out and giving their opinion.

Be honest, if the product really is crap, say so and why, your reader will really appreciate it. Chances are if you do write an honest review article people may seek your advice out again in other articles and buy other products through you.

Finally, if the product is so bad that you could never recommend it, this doesn’t mean you’ve lost out on a sale as you can steer the reader to another product that could be far better for them to use.
